Patient Monitor is a type of monitor used for in-patients. It is fixed in their allocated rooms and connected to a main monitor placed in the nursing stations. Certain equipment like electrodes, blood pressure cuff and pulse oximeter are attached to the patient and vital signs are being monitored on a timely manner. It will also give a notification for some cases when a certain vital signs goes beyond the specified target limit of a record - depending on the system setup (case to case basis).
