Enteral Feeding Syringe or Also Known as Asepto Syringe is a piece of Equipment used for Bolus Feeding through an Enteral Feeding tube. There are two (2) types of Feeding through an Enteral Feeding Tube namely, Bolus Feeding and Continuous Feeding through a Feeding Machine. Bolus Feeding is either the use of a feeding solution or a home made blended food instructed by a physician. A Feeding Syringe has a capacity of 50-60 ml and uses minimal manual force via push or by the use of gravity to deliver food to the gastrointestinal system of a person's body.
