Key Features

TaperGuard™ Cuff: This cuff technology is designed to reduce fluid leakage by 99% and exert less lateral wall pressure on the trachea compared to earlier models, which may help protect the lungs and reduce tracheal impact.

Easier Insertion: A thinner, less bulky cuff and a beveled tip are designed to reduce insertion force and ease percutaneous insertion.

Enhanced Comfort & Airflow: The soft, transparent flange conforms to the patient's anatomy to help reduce the risk of skin breakdown, while air vents improve airflow to sensitive skin. Improved airflow around the deflated cuff may also reduce the work of breathing required to speak and wean.

Sizing & Compatibility: The product uses ISO sizing similar to earlier Shiley™ products, but disposable inner cannulas from the flexible line are not compatible with legacy Shiley™ inner cannulas. The disposable inner cannulas are color-coded to match the correct tube size.

Usage: It is a single-patient-use medical device intended for use for up to 29 days.
